Put a personal status link in Mailchimp
KickoffLabs dashboard connects Mailchimp under Leads → Lead delivery → Mailchimp. It sends new leads to an audience and can include referral data as merge fields. The classic Push Leads and Manage Merge Fields screens shown in older images are not in the tested KickoffLabs connection form.
- Connect the audience in KickoffLabs and choose the new-subscriber mode. Do not change consent handling just to test a merge field.
- In Mailchimp, create an optional text field for the KickoffLabs Status URL if the audience does not already have one. Record its merge tag.
- Submit a synthetic lead and inspect that contact in Mailchimp. Confirm the status URL field is populated before inserting the Mailchimp merge tag into a message.
- Send a test campaign email to that contact, follow the status link, and check that it displays the correct lead.
The product’s Mailchimp field registry includes Status URL (thankyou_url) and Share URL. KickoffLabs does not expose the old manual field-mapping editor, so if this optional field is not delivered by your connection, ask support how it is mapped before sending the campaign.
Mailchimp calls these recipient fields merge tags. Follow Mailchimp’s merge-tag guide to insert the status URL field into your email and preview it with a contact who has a populated value.
