Set up reward levels and emails

Reward levels let you automatically recognize leads when they earn enough points or referrals. Use them to unlock perks, coupon codes, digital downloads, early access, beta invitations, or status updates.

Examples:

  • Refer 3 friends → send a beta access code.
  • Earn 5 points → deliver a digital download.
  • Reach 20 points → unlock a higher-value reward or discount.

You can access reward settings from multiple places in the campaign dashboard:

  • Setup → Rewards
  • Setup → Messaging → Reward Level Email
  • The Common Settings area on the Campaign Dashboard

From the rewards dashboard, create a new milestone or select Edit on an existing reward.

For each reward, configure:

  • Points or referrals needed to unlock it.
  • Reward title and description.
  • Optional reward image.
  • Whether the reward is visible in the campaign UI.
  • Whether KickoffLabs should send a reward email.
  • Whether your team should receive a notification when it is achieved.

After saving the reward, select Manage Email for that milestone.

The email editor lets you customize the subject and body of the email that goes out when the lead reaches the milestone.

Email tokens personalize reward emails with form fields, referral links, status links, social share links, and campaign data.

By default, reward emails trigger from the lead’s campaign score/points. If your campaign uses a custom scoring model, test with a lead before launch to confirm the milestone fires the way you expect.

Check that:

  • The reward email is enabled for that milestone.
  • The lead actually reached the required score/referral count.
  • The lead has a valid email address.
  • Default email settings are complete.
  • The message is not landing in spam.
