Customize campaign emails
KickoffLabs campaign emails can be customized so your auto-replies, verification emails, reward emails, and other campaign messages match your brand.
Important: The selected email template is campaign-wide. KickoffLabs does not currently support using multiple email templates within the same campaign.
Open email template settings
Section titled “Open email template settings”- From the campaign dashboard, select Edit Messaging.

- Select Default Settings on the messaging settings page.

- Find the Template Design section. From here you can choose an existing template, edit a template, or add a new template.

Edit a template
Section titled “Edit a template”In the template editor, you can update the HTML and save the template with a clear name.

Keep these required tags in the template:
{{email.html}}— inserts the email body configured in KickoffLabs.{{footer.html}}— inserts the required footer content.
If either tag is removed, campaign emails may render incorrectly or miss required footer information.
Support scope for custom templates
Section titled “Support scope for custom templates”KickoffLabs supports the template settings and required tags. If you paste in custom HTML from another platform, your team is responsible for the custom code itself.
Before launch, test the email in the inboxes your audience is most likely to use. Email clients vary widely, especially around custom CSS, columns, fonts, and embedded media.
Recommended preflight checklist
Section titled “Recommended preflight checklist”Before sending traffic to the campaign:
- Confirm the campaign-wide template is selected.
- Send a test message.
- Check desktop and mobile rendering.
- Verify the footer appears.
- Confirm sender name, reply-to address, and postal address in default email settings.
- Keep email copy simple and avoid heavy images or scripts.
