Waitlist mechanics
This guide walks through waitlist mechanics for referrals, rewards, and scoring.
Strategy guide: Want the bigger campaign playbook behind this setup? Read Building a Waitlist.
Basics
Section titled “Basics”A lead starts at the end of the line placed at the position determined by their join date. So if 100 people had already joined they would start at position 101.
If that lead earns a point they would then jump ahead of anyone with zero points and be at the end of people that had earned one point. Leads with 2 points would always be ahead of them unless you removed them from the waitlist.
If Leads are Removed from the Waitlist
Section titled “If Leads are Removed from the Waitlist”If you remove a lead (How to Remove Leads From a Waitlist - KickoffLabs Support) then everyone behind the lead(s) removed will move up the number of leads that were removed.
The contest box will show their position as “In”.
If the leads are later added back they will be slotted again at the position warranted by the logic above.
If a lead is marked as fraud
Section titled “If a lead is marked as fraud”They will always be shown a position at the end of the line. :)
If email verification is required
Section titled “If email verification is required”If a lead is not verified they will always be shown a position as if they had zero points.
Once a lead verifies (and is also not marked as fraud) they will be shown the position they’ve earned according to their score and signup date as described above.
