Use your Own Facebook App for Facebook Signup

If you’ve used our Facebook Signup button on your landing pages you’ve probably noticed that it asks your leads to connect to the “KickoffLabs” app. This is because the feature requires an app within Facebook to access the information. You don’t have to use our App. You can use your own if you already have one OR you can also make your own app within Facebook. There are a couple of things required to make this work.
1. Create Your Own Facebook App
Section titled “1. Create Your Own Facebook App”You can skip this step if you already have a Facebook App. If you don’t have it yet, you can create it following these instructions https://developers.facebook.com/docs/development/create-an-app/
2. Set a CallBack URL in Facebook Step 1. Within your Facebook app choose Settings. …
Section titled “2. Set a CallBack URL in Facebook Step 1. Within your Facebook app choose Settings. …”Step 2. Find the box labeled “Valid OAuth Redirects URLs” Step 3. Add the KickoffLabs callback URL: https://app.kickofflabs.com/auth/facebook/callback Note: It is OK if you have other urls here if this app previously existed. Step 4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
3. Copy the App ID and Secret into
Section titled “3. Copy the App ID and Secret into”KickoffLabs Step 1. In your Facebook App, under the main ‘settings’ link in the left hand column, select ‘Basic’ and copy the App Id and App Secret
Step 2. From the KickoffLabs campaign dashboard select “Setup” and select “Advanced Settings” from the drop-down.
Step 3. From settings open the settings page for “Custom Facebook Signup” 
Step 4. Paste the App ID and App Secret into this page. Step 5. Click Save App Settings to update these settings inside of KickoffLabs Now, if you have not added a Facebook Sign Up button to your landing pages you will now need to do that as well.
