Share your page with a QR code
Every hosted page has a QR code you can put on posters, flyers, packaging, or event signs. Scanning it opens the page.
The code is drawn in your page’s own brand colors: round dots in the page’s dark text color and rounded corner squares in its accent color. If the accent is too light to scan reliably on white, the corners use a darker brand color instead. You can’t pick other colors, which keeps every code scannable.
Find the QR code
Section titled “Find the QR code”The QR code lives on the page’s Share page. You can open it three ways:
- Select Done in the page designer.
- Publish a page for the first time. The Share page opens automatically.
- In the campaign, open Pages & forms, then choose ⋯ → Share page on the page’s row.
Open the More ways to share tab and find the QR code section.
Download the code
Section titled “Download the code”Choose the file that fits where the code is going:
- Download PNG: a 1200 × 1200 image. Use it on screens, in social posts, and in documents.
- SVG for print: a vector file that stays sharp at any size. Send this one to print shops and use it in design tools.
What’s in the middle
Section titled “What’s in the middle”Free plan
Section titled “Free plan”On the Free plan, the middle of the code shows the KickoffLabs beaker. It can’t be changed. Free accounts see a Premium tag noting that you can customize the code with your own text and logo.
Premium and higher plans
Section titled “Premium and higher plans”Premium and higher plans, the plans that remove the “powered by KickoffLabs” branding from your pages, can choose what goes in the middle.
- On the Share page, open More ways to share and find the QR code section.
- Select Customize.
- Under In the middle, choose one:
- Initials (the default): up to 3 letters or numbers on your accent color. Leave the field blank to use your brand name’s initials. For example, “Common Ground” becomes CG. A one-word brand name gets one letter.
- Logo: choose an image with the usual image picker. Search Unsplash, pick from your library, or upload a file. The logo sits on a white badge.
- Nothing: just the code.
- Select Save QR code.
- Download the PNG or SVG.
Your choice applies to every page in the campaign as soon as you save. You don’t need to publish anything.
For logos, use a PNG, JPG, GIF, or WebP file up to 10 MB. A square image works best. SVG logos aren’t supported. If a logo can’t be used, you’ll see an error when you save. If a saved logo later becomes unavailable, the code shows your initials instead.
If the campaign moves from Premium back to Free, its codes show the KickoffLabs beaker again.
Codes you’ve already printed
Section titled “Codes you’ve already printed”The QR code only contains the page’s URL. Changing what’s in the middle doesn’t affect codes that are already printed; they keep working.
Changing the page’s URL does. Old codes point to the old address, which stops working once the new URL is saved. The Change URL editor warns you about this. Download and print a new code after any URL change. See Change a page’s KickoffLabs URL.
Test before you print a lot
Section titled “Test before you print a lot”Before you order a large print run, print a proof at the size you plan to use. Scan it with a couple of different phones, in the kind of light where people will see it, and confirm it opens the right page.
